SUSTAINABLE FRASER ISLAND TRAVEL
Pack your bags and get ready to explore the world’s largest sand island! Relax with a group of like-minded travellers and experience Fraser Island's iconic sights - we'll take care of everything and help to protect one of our planet's most pristine destinations along the way!
Eco accreditation – we’re ‘ECO' accredited. Committed to using resources wisely to minimise our environmental impact on tour.
Local partners – we’re offering more authentic island experiences, partnering with Australian businesses to source products and services to contribute to a healthy local ecosystem.
Recycling and re-use programs – we’re saying no to plastic! You’ll find zero single use plastic on tour. Reducing our waste takes place through recycled water and poo farm initiatives, via our touring base at Kingfisher Bay Resort.
Paperless – our bookings systems are solely online and over the phone, with email confirmations to travellers. Making us virtually paper free – with efforts to recycle paper used.
Public transport – we’ve designed custom 4WD coaches for our tour. Not only does it create a community for travellers, there are benefits of reducing impacts to sand tracks and our average amount of energy used per passenger is far less than our 4WD counterparts. To get a bit more technical, our MAN buses have Euro 6 emissions standards.
Eco Accredited accommodation – providing the comforts of Wilderness lodges and resort hotel rooms, we remove the impacts of camping on sand dunes.
Bunk up – rooming in dorm rooms are eco-friendly by nature, you’re naturally saving space by sharing rooms and bathrooms.
Local guides – we value the knowledge of the locals and their dedicated love for Fraser Island – let these Cool Dingo Tour Aussie characters show you around!
Respect local culture – we’re a fan of local culture and aim to learn as much as we can to pass onto you. Our Aussie bush tucker tasting is one immersive must-do, to sample the unique flavours and learn about the uses of these native ingredients.
